What’s Wrong With Today’s Fitness, Influencer, and Mindset Era

Image
What’s Wrong With Today’s Fitness, Influencer, and Mindset Era There was a time when fitness, mindset, and mental health were about becoming  better humans , not about algorithms, filters, or who could shout the loudest online. It was about showing up for yourself, putting in the work, learning discipline, and using movement and self-awareness to heal. Somewhere along the way, the meaning got lost. The industry that once built people up now often breaks them down. The Era of Copy-Paste Coaches  Scroll through social media today and everyone’s a “coach.” There are hundreds of copy-paste workout plans, AI-written captions, and “7-day mental reset” programs that promise transformation with zero depth. Real coaching isn’t about selling templates or quick-fix programs; it’s about understanding a person’s  life , their struggles, their habits, and helping them build something that actually lasts. Too many “experts” are chasing followers instead of real results. The momen...

☕ Morning Coffee Talk: What “Healing” Actually Looks Like for Men

☕  Morning Coffee Talk: What “Healing” Actually Looks Like for Men We throw the word “healing” around a lot these days, but what does it actually  look like  for men? Because it’s not all meditation apps, retreats, or deep talks with a therapist (even though those things can help). Real healing, the kind that lasts, often looks a lot messier, quieter, and more confusing than what we see online. I also want to say this and it might ruffle some feathers…and if it does…good…REAL healing, and REAL self development is not using it as a mask to hide or numb the world to your true identity. It’s not posting online the surface level things to build a persona or reputation. It’s not meant as entertainment while you continue to still live the same way that got you here in the first place. For most men, healing starts in the shadows, in the moments you finally stop pretending you’re okay when you’re not. It’s the night you sit in your car after a long day, hands gripping the ...

Why You Don’t Need to Train Like Goggins to Grow

Why You Don’t Need to Train Like Goggins to Grow The Keep Going Mentality with Danny Losso We live in a world where “grind culture” is glorified. Where if you’re not waking up at 3 a.m., running 10 miles in freezing rain, and pushing your body past exhaustion, you’re somehow not doing enough. Don’t get me wrong, I respect David Goggins’ accomplishments. But here’s the truth most people won’t say out loud:  you don’t need to train like Goggins to grow. Real growth doesn’t come from breaking yourself. It comes from building yourself. For most of us, the goal isn’t to see how far we can push until we collapse. It’s to live a life that’s healthy, strong, and balanced. My philosophy has always been about creating a life you can actually sustain—one that fits your responsibilities, your relationships, and your peace of mind. Because what good is a chiseled body if your mind is burned out and your spirit is empty? Growth can look like consistent movement, nourishing your body with ...

Finding Light in the Darker Months

Image
Finding Light in the Darker Months As the seasons shift and the days get shorter, it’s natural to feel your energy change. The sun doesn’t stay out as long, the mornings feel heavier, and that drive you had all summer might start to dim. This time of year, many people silently battle something deeper, seasonal depression. You might find yourself wondering why it’s harder to get up early, why your mood feels off, or why you feel less motivated. But here’s the truth:  you’re not broken.  This is your body and mind responding to less sunlight, colder weather, and slower days. It’s okay to feel this way, but it’s also okay to fight back. Awareness Is Power The first step is recognizing it. Don’t ignore the shift. Acknowledge it. When you understand what’s happening, you take back control. You can start making small daily adjustments that bring light back into your life, literally and figuratively. Stick to the Systems That Keep You Grounded When the gloom sets in, your routines ma...

Then vs Now

Image
Then vs Now If you had asked me two years ago if I imagined I would be where I am today, I would have told you that you were out of your mind. Two years ago, if you had told me that I’d be close to one year without alcohol, I would have laughed and said, “yeah, ok.” If you had told me that the universe would send me my person, someone who truly understands me, I would have said I wasn’t worthy of that. If you had asked me if I’d be journaling every day, meditating, doing breathwork, practicing daily gratitude, switching to more functional style training, and building a healthier relationship with food, I wouldn’t have believed you. If you asked me two years ago if I could ever see myself having another child one day, I would’ve rolled my eyes at you. (* before I get flooded with questions, not saying that is happening, I’m just saying) If you told me I’d be better equipped to handle anxiety and depression, I would’ve said impossible. But here I am, living proof that everything c...
