WHAT IS TRUE WEALTH? WHAT DOES IT REALY MEAN TO BE “RICH”?

For me, true wealth will never be defined by the amount of money sitting in my bank account.

We live in a world, especially online, where wealth is constantly measured in numbers. Income. Cars. Houses. Watches. Vacations. Followers. There are people on social media who will make you feel “less than” if you do not see wealth the way they do. I have heard it more times than I can count. If you do not equate wealth with money, you must be a loser. You must not have any. You must not have accomplished anything.

But I have often wondered if that says more about them than it does about me.

Maybe the reason some people cling so tightly to money as the definition of wealth is because it is the only form of wealth they actually have. Maybe the void they feel, the lack of fulfillment, peace, connection, or purpose, is filled with money instead. Ever think of that?

Let me be clear. I am not saying money is not important. It is. We need it to survive. We need it to provide. We need it to create stability and reduce unnecessary stress. But the world today is so obsessed with money that we have started assigning it value far beyond its actual purpose. Money has become identity. Status. Self worth.

That is not me.

Is it necessary to make money? Yes.

Is it healthy or beneficial to obsess over it? Absolutely not.

My value as a human being is not dependent on the amount of money I earn. My worth is not measured by my paycheck, my possessions, or how impressive my life looks from the outside.

True wealth, for me, has always been very simple.

Health. Are you healthy, physically and mentally?

Love. Do you have your person, someone who sees you, supports you, and chooses you?

Children. Are your children safe, happy, cared for, and deeply loved?

Shelter. Do you have a roof over your head and a place that feels like home?

Friends. Do you have real, quality friendships, not just surface level connections?

Family. Do you have love, connection, or peace within your family?

That is what makes up true wealth in my life.

The quality of those things matters more to me than anything money could ever buy. Everything else, money, success, recognition, is simply a bonus.

And here is the truth I stand on. I am rich. Not in a financial sense, but in the ways that actually matter. I have those things. And the reason I know they are more valuable than money is because there is no amount of money in the world that would make me give up any of them.

Not one.

So do not let a toxic, money hungry world distort your mindset. Do not let it convince you that you are failing, falling behind, or somehow inadequate because your priorities are different. A loud world will always try to redefine success in its own image.

True wealth does not live in numbers.

It lives in the heart.

It lives in the soul.

And when you have it, you will know. Because you will never, ever be willing to let it go.
